About the Role

Complete Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced Manager Stakeholder Engagement for a senior contract chance within a NSW Government department.

This role will lead the department’s stakeholder engagement function, including its strategic framework, governance, planning, coordination and capability development. You will manage a team of up to six employees and help establish consistent, high-quality engagement practices across a large and decentralised organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the department-wide stakeholder engagement framework and strategy

- Manage, motivate and develop a specialist engagement team

- Provide expert advice on complex community and stakeholder engagement matters

- Lead the development and delivery of engagement plans across major programs and projects

- Develop practical engagement processes, tools, standards and governance arrangements

- Partner with communications and project teams on integrated initiatives

- Improve the monitoring and evaluation of stakeholder engagement activities

- Build engagement capability through guidance, training and best-practice resources

- Manage complex or sensitive stakeholder issues using sound judgement and discretion

About You





You will be an experienced engagement leader who can influence senior stakeholders, establish consistent practices across different business areas and translate strategy into practical implementation.

You will have

- Significant experience developing and implementing stakeholder or community engagement strategies

- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing specialist teams

- Experience developing engagement frameworks, governance, tools and standards

- Strong strategic planning, influencing and stakeholder-management skills

- Experience managing sensitive, complex or high-profile matters

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial equivalent industry experience
- A current driver’s licence

Government, regulatory, infrastructure, environmental or other complex public-sector experience will be highly regarded.

Other details

- Rate: $135–$145 per hour + super

- Term: ASAP until 31 March 2027

- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

- Location: Hybrid, with location negotiable

- Overtime may be required for crisis communications or Incident Management Team activities
