We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support our second-shift operations and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving production challenges, improving efficiency, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and working closely with operators, quality teams, and production leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for second-shift manufacturing operations.
- Analyse production processes and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Support new product introductions, process validation, and equipment qualification activities.
- Monitor key manufacturing metrics and drive performance improvements.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production teams to achieve operational goals.
- Evaluate manufacturing equipment and recommend upgrades or modifications.
- Assist in training production personnel on manufacturing processes and best practices.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing data analysis tools.
- Preferred: Experience in electronics, battery, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Preferred: Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
- Preferred: Experience with ERP and MES systems.
