Moreton Hospitality is at the heart of Australia’s dining and entertainment scene, with iconic venues across the Gold Coast and North Stradbroke Island. Sitting directly across from Cylinder Beach on North Stradbroke Island, The Straddie Hotel has reopened following a full redevelopment - a high-volume bistro, multiple bars, a gaming lounge, function and event spaces, 15 accommodation rooms, and 2 bottle shops across the island. It's the island's flagship hospitality precinct and a cornerstone of the local community.

We are now seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll develop and deliver integrated marketing strategies to boost brand visibility, grow our audience, and engage guests across all Moreton Hospitality venues. You’ll use your creativity and analytical skills to manage digital, social, and experiential marketing, ensuring The Straddie Hotel maintains a strong presence both online and on-island.
This position is a full-time ongoing position, based in Stradbroke Island - Point Lookout QLD 4183.
Main Tasks:
- Develop, implement and optimise integrated marketing strategies that drive patronage, bookings and brand visibility across venues and hospitality offerings.
- Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns (social media, email, SEM, display, print) to promote food & beverage, accommodation, events and seasonal experiences.
- Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to identify guest trends, customer profiles and emerging opportunities in the local and tourism markets.
- Design and manage paid and organic content calendars aligned to venue priorities, special events, live entertainment, and regional tourism initiatives.
- Oversee SEO, PPC, social and retargeting programs, optimising campaigns for reach, engagement, website traffic and conversion to bookings.
- Develop and brief creative concepts and content that showcase the venue’s lifestyle, culinary experiences and unique location appeal.
- Manage the production and approval of digital and print marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and high visual standards across all platforms.
- Write and edit compelling copy for web, email, social media and promotional collateral that converts awareness into reservations and event attendance.
- Collaborate with Venue Management, Events and F&B; teams to design and market in-house promotions, seasonal activations and community partnerships.
- Coordinate digital campaigns for weddings, corporate functions and private events, including landing pages, lead funnels and remarketing strategies.
- Maintain and regularly update function packages, menus, imagery and promotions across websites, booking engines and third-party platforms (e.g., TripAdvisor, Seven Rooms, Google, Uber Eats).
- Track and analyse post-campaign and post-event data such as enquiries, attendance, engagement and revenue uplift to inform future planning.
- Manage CRM systems and marketing automation to nurture leads, segment audiences and support the sales pipeline for events and group bookings.
- Monitor and maintain venue websites with SEO-optimised content, accurate menus, and up-to-date promotional materials.
- Measure and report on marketing KPIs — reach, engagement, conversion and ROI — providing insights to improve performance and guide budget allocation.
- Build and maintain relationships with local tourism bodies, media outlets and creative suppliers to strengthen brand presence and partnership opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance guest experience, brand loyalty and overall commercial growth.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 1 year’ full time work experience in the industry within the past 5 years;
- 5 years’ work experience in the industry may substitute the formal qualification.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven record delivering campaigns and event marketing initiatives that drive measurable outcomes.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, SEO tools, CMS platforms and email marketing systems.
- Robust project-management, communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently on-site while collaborating effectively with remote teams.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
