- Design and develop mechanical and mechatronic systems to meet project specifications.
- Conduct testing and analysis to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components with electronic systems.
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including technical drawings and reports.
- Support the troubleshooting and optimisation of mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all designs.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- A degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly using 8D or 7-step methodologies.
- Experience in developing and testing mechanical or mechatronic systems,
particularly harnesses, wiring systems and ECUs.
- Solid understanding of testing, the application of GD&T;, tolerance analysis and fit assessments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive approach to project management and task prioritisation.
