Medical Receptionist / Administrator

Brisbane Skin is looking for a friendly, organised and confident Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern, established practice and work alongside experienced Dermatologists, Skin GPs and cosmetic practitioners.

The role will be primarily based at our North Lakes clinic, with occasional shifts at our Newstead clinic.

About the role

As a Medical Receptionist / Administrator, you'll be an important part of the patient journey and the wider clinic team. You'll be responsible for providing warm, professional service to our patients while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service
- Managing phone and email enquiries
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Processing payments and Medicare claims
- Managing patient records and administrative tasks
- Supporting our doctors, nurses and wider clinical team
- Assisting with recalls, follow-ups and patient communications
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Helping the clinic run efficiently in a busy environment

This is a permanent part-time position of approximately 50 hours per fortnight. The role is primarily based at North Lakes, with the prospect to work at Newstead when required.





The position also forms part of a rotating roster, including occasional late nights and Saturdays.

About you

We're looking for someone who is warm, professional, reliable and genuinely enjoys working with patients.

You'll ideally have

- Previous experience in medical reception or medical administration
- Experience in specialist medical, dermatology, skin cancer, cosmetic or surgical practices is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confidence managing a busy reception and phone environment
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- A professional and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work rotating late nights and Saturdays
- The ability to work across our North Lakes and Newstead clinics when required

Experience in medical reception is preferred, however we are also open to candidates with strong customer service and administration experience who are keen to learn.
