About us
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, alcohol and substance-related care across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana, supporting a catchment of more than 250,000 people.
Rockhampton is the principal service centre, providing administration and acute adult mental health services, including the 24/7 Acute Care Team and inpatient facilities. Services also include an Adult Step-Up, Step-Down facility in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit in Rockhampton.
About the role
- Deliver specialist mental health care using discipline-specific clinical skills, evidence-based practice and contemporary professional standards.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive, recovery-focused care for consumers with mental illness or serious mental health problems.
- Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers, multidisciplinary teams and external services to support consumer involvement and recovery.
- Practice independently and professionally, using sound clinical judgement within relevant professional guidelines and requirements.
About you:
- Relevant professional qualification and registration in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
- Advanced mental health clinical expertise, including the ability to provide care to consumers experiencing responsible mental illness.
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and National Standards for Mental Health Services; Authorised Mental Health Practitioner status is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills,
with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while also practising independently.
- Excellent workload management and a commitment to improvement, with strong prioritisation skills and active participation in quality and service improvement.
What we offer: Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.97 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
