Ultra Tune Belconnen is seeking a Qualified Automotive Mechanic to join our skilled team in Belconnen, ACT. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services to our valued customers. As a Qualified Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing vehicle faults, performing repairs and maintenance work to the highest standards, and ensuring every vehicle that leaves our workshop meets our commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and adjustments
- Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, suspension systems, braking systems and other vehicle components
- Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets safety and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and manager regarding vehicle issues, repair requirements and costs
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
- Ensure all tools, equipment and work areas are maintained in a safe and organised manner
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures
- Keep abreast of new vehicle technologies and repair techniques to maintain professional competency
What we're looking for
- Current relevant automotive trade qualifications and certification (apprenticeship completion or equivalent)
- Valid driver's licence with a good driving record
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic in a workshop environment
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and computer-based vehicle systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
