The Role

n

Based within a major tertiary referral hospital servicing a population of approximately 700,000 people, you will provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health disorders.

n

Working across the Acute Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit and community mental health services, you will deliver recovery-focused care while working closely with experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, allied health professionals and community agencies.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment of children and adolescents
n
- Management of complex mental health presentations across inpatient and community settings
n
- Clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Participation in service planning and quality improvement initiatives
n
- Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and multidisciplinary colleagues
n

Requirements Applicants Should Possess

n

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and Current Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or eligibility for specialist registration via the RANZCP Specialist Pathway
n
- Eligibility for registration with AHPRA / Medical Board of Australia
n
- Specialist experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
n
- Commitment to multidisciplinary, recovery-oriented care

- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills
