Evergreen Village - 149 purpose-built apartments and cottages for independent retirement living.

Evergreen Lodge - 106 residential beds and suites, including permanent, respite and dementia-specific care, with options supporting couples.

Support at Home - Personalised care and support helping older people remain independent at home and connected to their community.

Evergreen Life Care seeks experienced Non-Executive Directors to shape our strategy through 2030 and support older people through retirement living, residential aged care and Support at Home services on the NSW Central Coast.

We seek Directors with strong governance judgement, constructive challenge and a commitment to safe, high-quality, rights-based care. Candidates must have:

Mandatory Requirements

- Substantial aged care, health or community care experience
- Prior Board, committee or comparable senior governance experience
- An affiliation with the Central Coast or surrounding region
- Capacity to attend Board, committee and strategy meetings in person at West Gosford

We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate meaningful strength in at least two of the following:

Evergreen Directors are expected to contribute beyond their specialist expertise by applying enterprise-wide judgement to strategy, quality, risk, workforce, investment, transformation and long-term sustainability.

Core Non-Executive Director responsibilities

- Set and oversee purpose, strategy and measurable organisational outcomes.
- Ensure appropriate systems for safe, high-quality and rights-based care and services.
- Oversee organisational performance, financial position, solvency, investment, capital and property decisions.
- Approve risk appetite and oversee enterprise, clinical, financial, workforce, cyber, regulatory and reputational risks.
- Appoint, support, challenge and assess the Chief Executive Officer while preserving transparent accountability for management.
- Seek evidence-based assurance, identify gaps and follow through until material issues are resolved.
- Ensure meaningful engagement with older people, residents, representatives, families, carers, workers and community.
- Meet directors’ duties, responsible-person obligations, the Aged Care Code of Conduct, ACNC requirements, Evergreen policies and all applicable law.
- Contribute fully to Board and committee work, induction, education, site engagement and Board evaluation.
