About the role The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring a seamless and safe guest experience while maintaining operational continuity across departments. Acting as the senior leader on duty, this role coordinates front office, guest services, and night audit responsibilities, while supporting Food & Beverage and Reservations functions as needed. Additionally, the role includes completing the night audit process, performing financial reconciliation, monitoring security, and addressing any incidents or urgent matters that may arise.

The Night

Manager prepares reports, ensures all procedures are followed accurately, and maintains the security and safety of the property, ensuring the hotel is ready for the day ahead.

Key responsibilities

- Manage all guest interactions overnight, handling check-ins, check-outs, special requests and enquiries

- Provide prompt, efficient and courteous service to all guests at all times

- Act as the primary contact for emergency response protocols and risk mitigation related to guest/operational issues

- Accurately complete nightly reports and handovers, communicating key information to relevant departments and morning management teams

- Solve guest and employee related concerns

- Ensure property presentation requirements in all areas are met

- Process overnight financial transactions accurately, including all revenue postings, adjustments, payments, and end-of-day audit functions in the Property Management System (PMS)

- Conduct scheduled security patrols of guest floors,



car parks and public areas throughout the shift, checking for hazards, unsecured doors or windows, and any unusual activity

- Act as first responder and primary point of contact for fire alarms, medical emergencies and security incidents, following the hotel's emergency response procedures

- Maintain strict control of master keys and access cards, logging all key movements and immediately reporting any lost or unaccounted keys

About you

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality

- First aid certificate - Valid

- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate – Valid

- Current driver's license

- Police Clearance - Valid

- Minimum 2 years in hotel front office operations experience

- Demonstrated customer service excellence

- Excellent verbal and written communication

- Excellent leadership, management and delegation skills

- Understanding of budget management and finance
