Where you'll be working

Hornsby Adult Mental Health Unit

What you'll be doing The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

1.



Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience within mental health, or combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support clinical teams. Providing mentorship, performance management abilities, and professional development opportunities to build a skilled, resilient and capable mental health nursing workforce.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
4. Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement. Driving continuous improvement, monitoring standards of care, and ensuring compliance with NSW Health policies and accreditation requirement
