About the role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our frailty programs at Hospital in Your Home in North Brisbane, Queensland. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, innovative occupational therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. As an Occupational Therapist on our frailty team, you will play a vital role in supporting the independence and wellbeing of our elderly and vulnerable clients.

What you'll be doing

- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client
- Provide hands-on therapy and support to help clients maintain or improve their functional independence in daily living activities
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure a coordinated approach to client care
- Educate clients and their families on techniques and strategies to promote safety and facilitate ageing in place
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our frailty programs by identifying opportunities for innovation and growth

What we're looking for

- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation, community-based or home care setting
- Demonstrated expertise in addressing the unique needs of elderly and/or disabled clients




- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective therapy interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team
- A passion for providing client-centred, evidence-based care and a commitment to continual professional development
