About Step 2 Allied Health:

Step 2 Allied Health provide quality Allied Health, and disability support services to clients across regional Victoria and beyond. The team consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Counsellors, Plan Managers, Therapy Assistants and Support Workers. We engage with a variety of funding bodies and sources such as Flexible Support Packages, Support at Home, NDIS, Medicare, TAC and private paying clients.

The Role

We are excited to offer the opportunity for upcoming graduates to join our structured new graduate program in a supportive environment. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our growing team, with the opportunity to build and shape their caseload with the support of their clinical supervisor. You will have the opportunity to support participants across the lifespan and assist them to work towards achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Support clients to achieve their goals by providing evidence-based assessment and intervention
- Provide neuroaffirming practice alongside continued development in this area
- Assess and implement appropriate skill development plans to support participants to develop independence in the home and community
- Continually evaluate participant progress and participation for effectiveness, efficiency and quality, and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Consult with clients, families, caregivers and external stakeholders to provide strategies and education through a multidisciplinary framework
- Prescribe, order and set up required equipment
- Complete report writing, including assessments, funding recommendations and support recommendations




- Maintain accurate documentation of all client-related activity in line with organisational, professional and legal requirements
- Attend regularly scheduled internal supervision, professional development and team meetings
- Contribute to a supportive team workplace, providing support and/or supervision to team members as appropriate
- Supporting regional participants across the greater Geelong region

Requirements

- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
- Registered with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Working With Children's Check
- Current Driver's Licence
- National Police Check
