Aligned OT is looking for an Occupational Therapy student to join our Penrith clinic as an OTA contractor.

We’re not simply looking for someone who wants a job alongside university. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about becoming a paediatric OT and wants to use their time while studying to learn, gain experience and build a strong foundation for their future career.

Working as an OTA gives you the prospect to develop practical experience with children and see how Occupational Therapy looks in the real world.

You’ll work from therapy plans developed by our OTs and support children with goals across areas such as:

- emotional regulation
- executive functioning and attention
- fine and gross motor development
- self-care and independence
- social skills
- school readiness
- visual motor skills and handwriting

You’ll gain experience working with different children, therapy goals and presentations across both our Penrith clinic and community settings. For someone serious about becoming a paediatric OT, this can be incredibly valuable experience to carry with you into placements, graduation and your future career.

While you’ll be working independently as a contractor, you'll have the opportunity to learn within an established paediatric allied health environment rather than simply gaining experience on your own.

Contractor payment and flexibility

This is an independent contractor opportunity.

You will receive

- $45 per client/session
- travel payment for applicable community-based clients
- flexibility around your university and placement commitments
- the opportunity to build your client load based on your availability and clinic needs

Who we're looking for You must currently be studying Occupational Therapy.

As this is a contractor role, you will need to hold and maintain the requirements necessary to operate as an independent contractor, including an ABN, your own appropriate insurances, Working With Children Check and any other applicable requirements.
