We are currently looking for a friendly and hardworking Operations Officer, preferably with 1-2 years of relevant banking operations experience, to join our team.

About the role The Operations Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the Bank, including account administration, payments and settlements, treasury and loan operations, client onboarding, and other banking operations activities. The role is expected to perform operational duties accurately and efficiently in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures, applicable regulatory requirements, and established operational controls.

Key responsibilities:

- Process client onboarding and account opening, maintenance and closure, and handle deposit-related transactions and administration.
- Process inward and outward domestic payments and clearing transactions, including transactions processed through agency arrangements.
- Process inward and outward international payments and telegraphic transfers, including relevant SWIFT messages.
- Perform treasury back-office activities, including transaction confirmation, matching,



settlement and reconciliation.
- Perform loan back-office activities, including loan drawdowns, repayments, settlements, and interest and fee processing.
- Perform daily reconciliations and assist with the investigation and resolution of outstanding or unmatched items.
- Maintain accurate operational records, registers and supporting documentation, and assist with the preparation of regular and ad hoc reports.
- Identify and promptly escalate transaction discrepancies, operational issues, exceptions and potential risks to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Assist with internal and external audit, compliance and operational review requirements as required.
- Provide operational support and relief coverage for other Operations and Trade Services team members when required.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

- 1-2 years of relevant banking operations experience is preferred; however, candidates with suitable financial services experience or strong relevant qualifications may also be considered.
- General understanding of banking products, payment processing and settlement operations.
- Knowledge of domestic and international payment and settlement systems, including SWIFT, RITS and Austraclear, is preferred.
- Experience or exposure to trade finance, treasury operations, loan operations, settlements or accounting is desirable.
- Basic understanding of KYC, AML/CTF, sanctions and other relevant banking compliance requirements.
- Solid attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and operational control.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is required.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet operational deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn banking systems and operational platforms.
- Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken, is required.
