This is full-scope optometry in a regional hub with a loyal, established patient base.

You'll be the primary eye health gatekeeper for a significant regional population, managing ocular disease, not triaging it.

The practice is supported by George & Matilda's national Professional Services team, including direct access to an experienced optometrist mentor through our regional PSM network – so you're clinically supported without being clinically supervised.

Who we're looking for

An optometrist with 3 years' experience who is ready to own their clinical space. You should be comfortable making independent decisions, building genuine patient relationships, and communicating clearly — both to patients and, where required, to referring colleagues.

You understand that excellent clinical care and a well-run practice are not in conflict. You don't need to choose between them.

Base salary from $130,000, commensurate with experience.
