Join Queensland's Most Supportive Paediatric OT Team
Cleveland Clinic | Full-time or Part-time | $85,000–$110,000 + Super + PD Allowance
You bring the passion. We'll give you the team, the tools, and the time to grow.
Optimum Movement is one of Brisbane's leading paediatric occupational therapy providers, with clinics in Cleveland, Varsity Lakes (Gold Coast) and Minyama (Sunshine Coast), plus telehealth, mobile and school-based services. We're looking for our next OT to join our Cleveland team — someone who's fun, engaged, evidence-based, and ready to level up their clinical skills alongside genuine experts. We know what makes therapists thrive, and we've built our clinic around it.
Why OTs choose Optimum Movement
An exceptionally experienced team, ready to mentor you
Work alongside a team of 20 OTs, physiotherapists, allied health assistants, a visiting paediatrician, orthotist and podiatrists. Work in a genuinely experienced, multidisciplinary crew who want to see you succeed. Our leadership structure isn't just senior on paper; it's hands-on, accessible and invested in your growth.
A clinic built to support great therapy, not hinder it
Our Cleveland clinic is well-resourced, purpose-built for paediatric practice, and open with extended hours so you and your families get the flexibility you need. Full administrative support from our receptionists and clinic manager means your time goes where it should — into your clients.
Professional development that's actually funded
- $2,000 professional development budget, every year
- 7 fully paid PD days per year — 3 for external courses, 4 for internal training
- Quarterly full-team training days
- Bimonthly journal club and bimonthly peer supervision
- A team that genuinely encourages you to chase your clinical passion projects
Real support, built into your week
- Fortnightly individual supervision
- Weekly individual supervision for new graduates and early career clinicians
- 3–4 hours per week of "team support" with our senior therapists — for clinical questions, report feedback, and case discussions
- A low KPI target of just 25 hours per week, so your caseload is sustainable, not overwhelming. A lower KPI target of 20 hours per week for new graduates.
About the role
You'll work with clients from birth to young adulthood, across a broad range of presentations including cerebral palsy, ABI, ADHD, ASD, Down Syndrome, learning difficulties, global developmental delay, DCD and sensory processing difficulties. Therapy happens in the clinic, at school, and in the home — wherever it works best for the client. Our approach is goal-directed, evidence-based, and heavily CO-OP influenced.
What you'll need
- A genuine passion for paediatrics, with 2+ years' paediatric OT experience preferred. Excellent new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Full AHPRA registration
- A track record of pursuing evidence-based professional development
- Confidence with goal-setting tools and outcome measures, including the COPM
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and a great work ethic
- A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for team learning
- A driver's licence and car
