Capricorn Bulk Haulage (CBH) is a growing Queensland transport business supporting the mining and resources industry across the Bowen Basin.

We are looking for a Parts & Assets Officer to join our team in Clermont.

We offer roster flexibility as well as accommodation and meals if the candidate is working from out of town

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting our workshop and operations teams by making sure the right parts, equipment and consumables are available when they're needed. You don't necessarily need to have worked in a parts role before. We're open to someone with a warehouse, stores, inventory or purchasing background who is organised, proactive and willing to learn.

Experience or knowledge of trucks, trailers, earthmoving equipment or heavy machinery would be highly regarded.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing the day-to-day operation of our parts and stores area.
- Ordering parts, equipment, tools and consumables for our fleet and workshop.
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming parts and equipment.
- Issuing parts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring important parts are available when required.
- Obtaining pricing and availability from suppliers.
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Keeping the warehouse and storage areas organised, safe and efficient.
- Assisting the workshop with parts requirements, including urgent and breakdown-related requests.
- Tracking company assets, equipment and stock.




- Supporting improvements to our inventory and purchasing processes.

About You We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and takes ownership of their work.

You may come from a background in:

- Warehouse or stores
- Parts
- Inventory control
- Purchasing or procurement
- Transport
- Mining
- Automotive
- Heavy equipment
- Fleet maintenance

Experience with trucks, trailers, earthmoving equipment or heavy machinery would be a major advantage, but is not essential. Most importantly, you will:
- Be organised and able to manage competing priorities.
- Have valuable attention to detail.
- Take ownership and follow tasks through to completion.
- Be comfortable dealing with suppliers and internal teams.
- Have a practical, problem-solving approach.
- Be confident using computers and learning new systems.
- Be able to work independently without needing constant direction.
- Have a strong work ethic and willingness to get involved.

A forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
