Join a leading estimating team, influence project outcomes, and help secure major opportunities from an early stage. Civmec is seeking experienced Senior Estimators to join us. Opportunities are available across Civil and SMP disciplines, working on a diverse portfolio of construction, maintenance, mining, resources and infrastructure projects nationwide.
n
You will play a key role in developing innovative methodologies, pricing strategies, and competitive estimates, while contributing to the continued growth and success of a market-leading contractor.
n
This is a full-time opportunity with the flexibility to be based from either our Henderson, WA or Tomago, NSW office, working alongside a collaborative and experienced estimating team. The Role
n
n
- Manage end-to-end tender preparation, from reviewing documentation through to final submission
n
- Prepare accurate costings across materials, labour and equipment for medium-to-large earthworks and concrete packages
n
- Coordinate subcontract elements and ensure complete scope coverage
n
- Produce professional, competitive tender submissions
n
- Mentor and lead a team of 2-5 estimators, supporting the development of junior team members
n
- Estimate across Civmec's projects, tenders and upcoming works business-wide
n
- Support project planning and the handover of awarded work to delivery teams
n
- Maintain documentation standards and ensure compliance with quality systems and timelines
n
- Contribute to business growth, solid client relationships and overall company performance
n

About You
n
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:
n
n
- 5-10 years' field experience in estimating, ideally within the construction, mining or resources industries
n
- Demonstrated experience preparing estimates for civil earthworks and concrete packages and/or SMP construction, fabrication and maintenance works.
n
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions
n
- Strong understanding of first-principles estimating and cost build-ups.
n
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
n
- A strong work ethic with the ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload to deadline
n
- Experience mentoring or leading small teams (desirable)
n
- Experience working for a larger Tier 1 contractor (advantageous)
n
- A trade qualification, Boilermaker, Mechanical Fitter or Welding (desirable but not essential)
n
- Exposure to industry in a blue-collar position (desirable)
n
