We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Machine Shop team, manage machining operations and support the delivery of production requirements.

n

The Role Includes:

n

Plan and prioritise daily production schedules to meet throughput targets

n

Allocate staff to machines and jobs based on skill level and job complexity

n

Lead, coach and develop machinists and operators to build team capability

n

Co-ordinate the CNC machine set-up and ensure SOP compliance

n

Liaise with the production team on scheduling and priorities

n

Monitor output against targets and resolve bottlenecks

n

Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting

n

Maintain a safe, clean and orderly workplace

n

This role requires strong people management as well as technical capability, with responsibility for team performance, clear direction,



accountability and day-to-day leadership.

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade experience)

n

Minimum of five years' experience managing and leading a CNC workshop team

n

Experience scheduling and prioritising production to meet throughput targets

n

Broad knowledge of CNC Lathe and Milling machining processes

n

Proficient in the use of measuring and quality control equipment

n

Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills

n

Excellent communication and coaching skills

n

High level of attention to detail

n
