About the role

We are seeking a safety-focused and hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced trade environment. This role combines customer service, warehouse operations, stock handling, deliveries, and leadership of a small team.

Candidates must hold either a current forklift licence or MR licence and be willing to obtain the other if not already held. Previous operational experience in a trade, warehouse, transport, logistics, or customer-facing environment is highly regarded. We're looking for someone who can lead by example, multitask effectively, and roll up their sleeves to support all aspects of the business.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, between 6:30am and 3:00pm.

In this role, you will:

- Lead by example and support the daily operations of the Trade Centre.
- Operate a forklift and assist with loading, unloading and movement of stock.
- Coordinate and assist with customer deliveries when required.
- Provide outstanding customer service and build strong relationships with trade and retail customers.
- Support warehouse, inventory and stock management activities.




- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
- Develop new customer accounts and support sales growth opportunities.
- Supervise, coach and support a small team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Monitor store performance and contribute to achieving sales and operational targets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, Chain of Responsibility requirements and transport regulations.

About You

- Hold a current forklift licence or MR licence (at least one is required).
- Are willing to obtain the second licence if not already held.
- Enjoy hands-on work and are comfortable in a physically demanding role.
- Can safely load, unload, move and manage stock.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities.
- Take pride in delivering great customer service.
- Have experience in a warehouse, trade centre, transport, building products, retail, or similar operational environment.
- Have leadership, supervisory or mentoring experience, or the confidence to lead by example within a small team.
- Understand safety requirements and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
- Are a reliable team player who is always willing to help where needed.
