About us
The Pharmacy Department at Cairns Hospital (CH) provides a pharmacy service to the clinical areas of the hospital. Current service delivery focuses on: the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to our patients; an extensive imprest service, an extensive education program to our stakeholders and clinical trials.

About your opportunity
In this position you will....
- Deliver high level clinical Pharmacy services within the Emergency Medicine multidisciplinary team at the Cairns Hospital in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical Pharmacy services.
- Participate in the delivery of high-quality clinical pharmacy services as part of the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Team, contributing to extended hours and weekend coverage to ensure continuous, patient-centred care when operationally required.
- Provide expert clinical advice to qualified and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding clinical Pharmacy services delivery.
