The Opportunity

n

This is an operational Senior Mine Surveyor position responsible for the safe, accurate and timely delivery of surveying services across the site's open-pit mining activities.

n

Working closely with mining, production and technical services teams, you will manage day-to-day survey priorities and provide reliable information that supports operational execution and decision-making.

n

The position is ideally suited to a practical surveyor who enjoys being involved in the operation, solving problems and contributing directly to production outcomes. You will also provide guidance and support to junior survey personnel while maintaining a strong personal presence across both field and technical activities.

n

The role is offered on a FIFO roster (multiple rosters to choose from).

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead the day-to-day survey function across active open-pit mining areas, balancing production priorities and project requirements.
n
- Maintain survey control networks, benchmarks, site datum systems and accurate spatial records.
n
- Deliver production pickups, set-outs and mark-ups supporting drill and blast, dig limits, haul roads,



dumps, stockpiles and infrastructure.
n
- Process survey and drone data to produce accurate plans, surfaces, models, volume calculations and end-of-month reconciliation reports.
n
- Monitor mining progress against approved designs, communicate deviations and provide dependable information to operational and technical teams.
n
- Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy and data integrity while providing practical guidance and development to junior survey personnel.

Requirements & Qualifications

n

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on mine surveyor who is comfortable working in an active production environment and contributing wherever required.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Demonstrated mine-surveying experience within an open-pit mining operation.
n
- Strong practical capability across survey control, pickups, set-outs, volumes, reconciliation and production support.
n
- A relevant tertiary qualification in surveying or spatial science is highly regarded but not essential.
n
- Exposure to Trimble survey equipment and Deswik software is highly preferred.
n
- Experience with drone surveying, data processing or Virtual Surveyor would be advantageous.
n
- Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping and a commitment to data integrity.
n
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators, mining teams and technical professionals.
n
- A proactive, self-sufficient approach and a willingness to contribute to the operation day to day.

This is a non-registered position, and statutory survey registration is not required.
