Main responsibilities and duties:

- Operating and monitoring the brake press with precision and efficiency

- Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape components according to technical drawings and specifications.

- Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings accurately.

- Work within precise tolerances (±1mm and ±0.3°) to ensure high-quality output.

- Physically handle, lift, and support long or large parts during the folding process.

- Select and change dies and tools based on material thickness and type.

- Ensuring all work meets quality standards and production targets

- Performing routine maintenance on brake press equipment and troubleshooting on the brake press equipment

- Identifying and resolving any issues or malfunctions in a timely manner

- Collaborating with the production team to ensure smooth workflow

- Adhering to all health, safety,



and quality assurance protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- A current Australian forklift licence

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Brake Press Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment

- Minimum of 3 years of brake press operator experience required.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced production setting

- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Must hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency to be eligible for this position
