As the Principal Advisor , Workplace Health and Safety, you will play a key leadership role in helping our department create environments where people feel safe, supported and able to do their best work. This is your opportunity to influence positive change, provide trusted advice to senior leaders and help shape the future of workplace health, safety and wellbeing across a large and diverse organisation.

Working within People and Culture, you will partner with executives, leaders and teams across the department to deliver practical workplace health, safety and wellbeing solutions that make a genuine difference. The work you do will contribute directly to our ability to support Queensland communities by ensuring our people are healthy, safe and equipped to deliver key services.

In This Role, You Will

- Lead and develop a small team, fostering collaboration, capability and continuous improvement.
- Provide high-level workplace health, safety and wellbeing advice to executives and leaders.
- Develop and implement strategies,



programs and initiatives that improve organisational outcomes.
- Analyse complex issues and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that strengthen safety culture and employee wellbeing.
- Build strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve results.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and correspondence that support informed decision-making.
