Level 8 - $142,018.60* (incl $20,000 Port Hedland Allowance) + House, Vehicle & Relocation Assistance

- A 4.5% base salary increase will apply following the approval and formal registration of the Town's Industrial Agreement

As we continue to strengthen our workforce and organisational capability, we are seeking an experienced and contemporary HR leader to join our team as Principal HR Operations.

The Role The

Town is seeking an experienced and contemporary HR leader to lead our HR Operations team and deliver high-quality HR operational and advisory services across the organisation. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving workforce capability, employee relations outcomes and workforce initiatives that support the Town's strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will partner with leaders across the organisation to provide expert advice across a broad range of human resources, employee relations, and industrial relations matters. You will support workforce planning, organisational change, and leadership development, while delivering practical people solutions that strengthen organisational capability, foster a positive workplace culture, and contribute to long-term workforce sustainability.

Leading a professional HR Operations team, you will be instrumental in enhancing people management practices, delivering continuous improvement initiatives,



and ensuring the provision of responsive, contemporary, and compliant HR services.

Key Areas Of Responsibility Include

- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing HR Operations team.
- Providing expert advice on employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, investigations, and workplace change.
- Supporting workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, and workforce sustainability initiatives.
- Driving continuous improvement across HR systems, policies, processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Building leadership capability through trusted advice, coaching, and practical people solutions.
- Providing workforce insights, reporting and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Work Related Requirements Preferred Required The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

- A degree qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Relations, Business, or a related discipline.
- A National Police Clearance (Town paid)
- A current 'C' class driver's license
- The right to work in Australia
