Private Housekeeper – Luxury Apartment (Part-Time)

We are seeking one exceptional Housekeeper to maintain our luxury private residence in Darlinghurst. This is a long-term, part-time position (approximately 4–5 hours per week) for someone who genuinely enjoys creating and maintaining an immaculate home.

This position is not suitable for cleaning companies, subcontractors or teams. We are looking for one individual who takes personal ownership of maintaining our home to an exceptional standard and is interested in a long-term working relationship.

Instead, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys housekeeping, notices the details others miss, and naturally leaves a home cleaner than most people would expect.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining a luxury two-bedroom apartment to an exceptionally high standard. The role includes detailed housekeeping, bed linen changes, balcony maintenance, rotating deep-clean tasks and maintaining every area of the apartment with consistency and care.

Some larger housekeeping tasks will be rotated throughout the month rather than completed every visit.

The initial visit will involve establishing a high standard that will then be maintained on an ongoing basis.

The Person We're Looking For

You are someone who:

- Takes genuine pride in your work.




- Has exceptional attention to detail.
- Notices things without being asked.
- Is reliable, honest and trustworthy.
- Enjoys maintaining beautiful homes.
- Works carefully rather than rushing to finish.
- Wants a long-term relationship with one household.
- Has previous housekeeping or high-end residential cleaning experience (preferred).

Our Expectations

We appreciate someone who naturally:
- Moves accessible items to clean underneath and behind them.
- Cleans thoroughly rather than simply cleaning around objects.
- Leaves glass and mirrors genuinely streak-free.
- Pays attention to edges, corners and hidden areas.
- Notices dust before we do.
- Treats our home with the same care they would their own.

Unfortunately, we've previously employed highly-rated cleaning companies and have often found they perform what we'd describe as a cosmetic clean rather than a genuinely detailed one. We're not looking for perfection, but we are looking for someone whose personal standard is significantly higher than average.

Hours

Approximately 4–5 hours per week. Fortnightly could work also. Fridays are preferred, although some flexibility is available.

Pay

Excellent hourly rate based on experience, reliability and demonstrated attention to detail.
