Silvercrete Precast is hiring at our plant in Burton.

We need Process Workers, Precast Workers, Maintenance Workers and Forklift Drivers. One plant. Four ways in. Pay is $30–$45 an hour depending on the role, your tickets and what you actually bring. Maintenance sits at the top of that range.

Who we are

Silvercrete is a South Australian family business. It started in the early 1970s as a father-and-son concrete construction crew, grew through in-situ work, pumping, civil and commercial jobs, and in 2000 made the call that still defines the place: specialise in manufacturing.

We are now in our third generation. From 11 Heaslip Road, Burton, we make concrete sleepers, under-fence plinths, pavers, inspection points, car stops, troughs, rural products and custom precast for customers across South Australia and nationally — from the home handyperson to Tier 1 and government contractors.

Founder and Managing Director Ennio Silvestri still sets the standard after 40-plus years in concrete. The plant is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. We are hiring because the work is here and the team is growing.

The roles

Process Workers and Precast Workers

Hands-on production of precast concrete. Prepare and strip moulds, place steel, pour, vibrate and finish, demould, inspect, stack and keep the line clean. Physical factory work. Experience in concrete, factory or labouring helps. No experience is not a barrier if you turn up, work, and want to learn.

Forklift Drivers

Move moulds,



materials, stillages and finished product through a live precast yard. Load trucks. Keep production fed. This is not a warehouse loop. Current high-risk forklift licence (LF) required. Factory, yard or construction experience preferred.

Maintenance Workers Machinery and Moulds

Ex-mechanics and panel beaters — strongly advised to apply.

Keep the plant running. Batch plant, mixers, conveyors, vibrators, moulds, forklifts, gates and steelwork. Breakdowns and planned work. Weld, grind, fit, fabricate and fix. Mechanical, fitting, diesel, auto-electrical or panel beating background. Trade papers help. Proven hands help more.

What you need

- Full working rights in Australia
- Your own reliable transport to Burton / Waterloo Corner
- Steel-cap boots on day one — we issue the rest of the PPE
- Fitness for physical factory work. Process and precast roles include regular lifting, standing and bending
- Punctuality. The pour does not wait
- Current LF forklift licence for forklift roles
- You do not need to be a saint. You do need to be someone the rest of the crew can rely on
