We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Adelaide. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this hands-on role offers exposure across financial and management accounting, reporting, budgeting, manufacturing, and business improvement.

n

This is an excellent chance for an accountant who enjoys working beyond the numbers and wants to gain deeper insight into the commercial and operational drivers of a successful business.

The Role

n

Working closely with the CFO and Finance team, you will support accurate financial reporting while providing analysis and insights that help drive business performance.

n

Key Responsibilities Include

n

n
- Month-end and year-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments
n
- General ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Monthly financial reporting and analysis
n
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning support
n
- Product costing, inventory analysis and manufacturing variance reporting
n
- Fixed asset and capital expenditure reporting
n
- BAS, GST, and statutory compliance preparation
n
- Financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
n
- Partnering with operational teams to understand costs, margins, waste and key performance drivers
n
- Supporting system improvements, automation and stronger financial controls
n

About You

n

You will have:

n

n
- At least 3 years' experience in an Accountant or similar financial accounting role
n
- Strong experience with month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
n
- Sound knowledge of Australian accounting principles
n
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
n
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one) is highly regarded
n

n

Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or food production environments, including exposure to inventory, product costing, ERP systems, budgeting and forecasting, will be highly valued.
