- Identifying opportunities to improve value, reduce costs and strengthen supply continuity
- Supporting procurement initiatives across Australia and broader global operations where required

What we’re looking for You are a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys solving problems, influencing outcomes and working closely with operational stakeholders.

You understand that procurement is about much more than purchasing. You know how to balance competing priorities, evaluate supplier capability, manage commercial risk and deliver practical solutions that keep projects moving.

You may come from construction, engineering, heavy equipment, industrial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics or project-based environments. Most importantly, you enjoy operating in a fast-paced business where your decisions genuinely make a difference.

You know how to

- Build strong supplier relationships
- Negotiate commercially sound outcomes
- Analyse costs, pricing and market opportunities
- Manage multiple competing priorities
- Communicate effectively with operational and technical stakeholders
- Balance commercial outcomes with safety, quality and service requirements
- Improve systems, processes and procurement performance
- Take ownership and deliver results in dynamic environments

Your keys to success

- Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or senior buyer positions
- Proven experience sourcing goods and services and managing supplier relationships
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
- Experience evaluating suppliers, pricing structures, lead times and total cost considerations
- Sound understanding of procurement governance, contracts and commercial risk
- Experience using ERP or purchasing systems
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively across multiple business functions
- Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, heavy equipment, industrial services or project environments will be highly regarded
- Professional qualifications or memberships such as CIPS are advantageous but not essential

What you'll get in return At Marr, you'll join a professional, supportive and highly capable team and have the opportunity to contribute directly to some of the most technically challenging projects in Australia and internationally.

You'll have genuine ownership, the ability to influence commercial outcomes, exposure to senior stakeholders and suppliers, and the opportunity to grow your procurement career within a globally recognised engineering and construction business.
