About the role In consultation with the managing director and Program Leaders, you will have responsibility for assisting with Conductive Education program delivery. You will work with Conductors, Therapists, Teachers and students, supporting participation in the program and functioning as an effective team member.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting Conductors, Therapists, Teachers and students with participation in Conductive Education program delivery
- Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member
- Displaying respect and empathy for participants with high level support needs
- Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families
- Assisting in the supervision of Conductive Education activities, under the direction of a Leader
- Assisting in preparing, storing,
making available and clearing away equipment and materials required for participation in the Conductive program
- Contributing to the welfare, health and safety of participants including the delivery of first aid, when/if required and suitably trained
- Assisting participants with lifting, positioning, assisting with meals, toileting and dressing
- Working with small groups as well as individual participants
- Assisting to maintain a clean, organised setting to benefit all staff and participants
About you
- Working with Children: Blue Card Check and NDIS Worker Screening
- Must hold a blue card or an exemption card to comply with the Education and Care Services National Law (Queensland) Act 2011
