Where and how you can work
Our flagship Sydney campus is uniquely Canva - an extension of our Surry Hills neighbourhood. It’s a thoughtfully designed space with plenty of room to collaborate, focus, and connect.
This role is based in Sydney, and we’re looking for someone who calls it home. Our hybrid way of working gives you the flexibility to work remotely, and to come together on campus for meaningful in-person collaboration and connection when it matters most. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
This role works closely with stakeholders across the US, Australia, and the Philippines, so it requires flexibility in working hours in particular, regular early mornings to sync live with global counterparts
About the role

You’ll help shape, coordinate, and operationalise the strategy that brings Education Content and the Learn Grid to life, reaching millions of teachers and students globally.
Working within the Business & Education Supergroup, you’ll drive collaboration across product, content, marketing, international, and partnerships to ensure seamless delivery of curriculum-aligned, localised,
and AI-enhanced educational content and learning experiences within Canva for Education.
What you’ll do
- Support the Education Content Leads across budget management, contingent workforce planning, goal setting, planning cycles, and performance reporting.
- Own the internal comms and rhythms that keep distributed teams connected — updates, cross-regional forums, consistent ways of working.
- Partner with the whole EDU Content team to coordinate content initiatives across all multiple ingestion funnels like partnerships, AI generated content, EDU Creator content and vendor content.
- Connect planning and production, translating direction into clear milestones, dependencies, and plans for each content funnel.
- Translate strategy into explicit milestones, dependencies, and plans for each content funnel.
- Identify where processes are slowing delivery down, and partner with teams to fix them.
- Manage regular reporting on content production health and campaign performance, building and maintaining the tracking systems (ie Monday.com and Slack automations) that keep the whole team updated in real time.
- Coordinate contingent workforce hiring and operations — workforce planning, onboarding, contracts, renewals, and budget tracking.
- Act as the connective layer between Education Content, Learning Experience Product, Content & Discovery,
and International keeping shared initiatives on track without duplicated effort.
- Drive the adoption of AI and automation to improve team efficiency, from content production through to how the teams work day to day.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in program or project management, content operations, content production, chief of staff or similar cross-functional coordination roles, ideally in high-growth tech, media, or creative environments.
- Expertise in leveraging AI and technology to build automations, scale systems and improve workflows.
- Have experience supporting senior leaders across planning, budgeting, and hiring.
- A track record of building shared processes across distributed or global teams.
- Sharp communication skills — you can cut through noise and stay clear across every level, from leadership to production.
- Strong prioritisation instincts, and the judgement to connect strategy to execution.
- A strong bias to action. When you spot a gap or a misalignment, you bring people together to close it.
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast context-switching.
