Oakridge Services is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer with strong practical experience delivering water and sewer pipeline projects.
This is a contractor/subcontractor side construction role requiring hands on involvement in planning, resourcing and delivering self-performed works.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated construction experience in water and sewer pipelines, including installation, tie-ins, testing and commissioning
- High level knowledge and practical application of the SEQ Water Supply and Sewerage Design & Construction Code and relevant authority standards
- Proven experience working for a civil contractor or subcontractor delivering the works
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and constructability
- Ability to interpret IFC drawings, specifications and project requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and coordinate construction activities and work fronts
- Plan and manage labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
- Manage procurement to meet program requirements
- Work directly with Supervisors and Foremen to drive site delivery
- Resolve technical, design and constructability issues
- Manage RFIs, ITPs, inspections, quality records and as-constructed documentation
- Identify and manage variations, quantities, costs and progress claims
- Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, testing and commissioning
- Monitor program, productivity and project costs
- Liaise with head contractors, clients, designers and authorities
REQUIREMENTS
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
- Solid water and sewer pipeline construction experience
- Strong working knowledge of SEQ requirements
- Contractor/subcontractor-side experience is essential
- Strong technical, commercial and site delivery capability
