About The Opportunity:

My client is an established and growing commercial construction business seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Toowoomba-based team with a planned commencement in January 2027, or potentially earlier for the right person.

With a strong pipeline of secured work, this is an opportunity to take ownership of significant construction projects, leading delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

Upcoming projects include multi-rise accommodation and complex structural builds, and we are particularly interested in Project Managers who combine strong commercial and delivery capability with an exceptional eye for detail and quality finishes.

About the Role:

As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of your projects, managing programme, commercial outcomes, quality, safety and stakeholder relationships.

Working closely with Site Managers, Contract Administrators, consultants, subcontractors and clients, you will provide leadership across the entire project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include

- Taking overall responsibility for projects from pre-construction through delivery, completion and handover
- Managing project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial performance
- Leading and supporting Site Managers, Contract Administrators and wider project teams
- Managing subcontractor procurement, performance and delivery
- Driving project programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved




- Overseeing the delivery of complex structural works and multi-rise construction
- Maintaining a strong focus on build quality, detailing and finishes throughout the project
- Managing client, consultant and key stakeholder relationships
- Chairing and participating in project, design and construction meetings
- Working closely with consultants to resolve design, documentation and construction issues
- Identifying project risks early and implementing practical solutions
- Monitoring cost, variations, claims, forecasting and overall project performance
- Ensuring WHS, quality and compliance requirements are maintained
- Providing transparent reporting to senior management on programme, commercial position and project performance
- Driving projects through practical completion, defects and successful handover

About You:

You will be an experienced construction Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects and leading high-performing project teams. Importantly, you will bring experience delivering multi-rise accommodation and structural projects and have a strong understanding of the coordination and construction methodology required for these builds.

You will ideally have

- Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction




- Demonstrated experience delivering multi-rise accommodation projects
- Strong experience across structural and technically complex construction
- Relevant construction, building, engineering or tertiary qualifications
- Strong commercial and contract management capability
- Excellent programming, procurement and project planning skills
- Experience leading Site Managers, Contract Administrators and project teams
- Strong subcontractor management and negotiation skills
- Excellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
- Strong attention to detail with a genuine focus on quality finishes
- Ability to confidently manage clients, consultants and key stakeholders
- Strong understanding of WHS, quality and compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
