Project Manager | Emergency Management Technology Program

- Daily Rate: $1,000 + Super per day
- Duration: 6-Month Contract
- Start Date: Must start Beginning of October 2026 – April 2027
- Location: Sydney Olympic Park | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a high-profile emergency management technology platform that will support coordination, information sharing and incident management across government agencies throughout New South Wales.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a program that will have a direct impact on how emergency services and government agencies collaborate during critical incidents and emergency events.

The platform is a cloud-based SaaS solution that will replace an existing emergency management system and provide a modern, whole-of-government approach to operational coordination.

The Role

Reporting into senior program leadership, you will be responsible for driving project establishment and implementation activities ahead of a planned April 2027 go-live. The role will involve coordinating delivery across government stakeholders, vendors and participating agencies while ensuring risks, dependencies and governance obligations are effectively managed.

The stakeholder environment spans multiple agencies and organisations involved in emergency management and public safety.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading project planning and implementation activities
- Establishing governance, reporting and delivery frameworks
- Managing project schedules, risks, issues and dependencies
- Coordinating delivery activities across multiple agencies and stakeholders




- Working closely with the technology vendor and delivery partners
- Supporting readiness, transition and operational preparedness activities
- Providing regular status reporting and executive-level updates
- Driving outcomes within a quick-paced and highly visible delivery environment

About You

Experience within emergency services, public safety, emergency management or operational technology environments will be highly regarded. Candidates who have delivered projects involving multiple government agencies, emergency response organisations or cross-functional operational stakeholders are strongly encouraged to apply.

You will ideally bring

- Proven experience delivering government technology or digital transformation projects
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly across multiple organisations or agencies
- Experience managing SaaS implementations or vendor-led technology programs
- Demonstrated capability managing project governance, risks and dependencies
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to operate effectively within tight delivery timeframes and complex environments
