Own the project. Own the outcome!
At Liveware Group, we're looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of client projects across our technology portfolio.
You'll be the person who keeps the project moving bringing clients, engineers and stakeholders together, managing timelines, scope, budgets and resources, and making sure everyone knows what needs to happen and when. You'll be close to the detail, identifying risks early, solving problems and keeping clients informed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, bringing structure to complexity and seeing a project through from kick-off to completion.
If you're a Project Manager who thrives on accountability, enjoys working with both clients and technical teams, and takes pride in getting projects delivered well, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the successful delivery of client projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within agreed scope and budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, QA and other project stakeholders to coordinate delivery and ensure effective collaboration.
- Manage project timelines, milestones and dependencies, ensuring deadlines are realistic and delivery remains on track throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project scope and requirements, ensuring the client remains aligned with agreed deliverables and that any changes are appropriately assessed and managed through the change request process.
- Manage project budgets and forecasted hours,
tracking actuals against estimates and escalating variances early.
- Coordinate team resourcing and allocation, working with Engineering and Delivery leads to ensure the right skills and capacity are available to meet project requirements.
- Lead project meetings, including kick-offs, planning sessions, stand-ups and status meetings, as appropriate to the project.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, issues and dependencies, and work with the relevant stakeholders to resolve or escalate them.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing clear updates on progress, timelines, scope, risks and key decisions.
- Work with technical and delivery leads to ensure client requirements are understood and delivered appropriately.
- Coordinate QA and testing activities to ensure deliverables meet agreed requirements and quality standards.
- Manage project documentation, including project plans, milestones, requirements, risks, issues, decisions and change requests.
- Ensure client commitments and project deliverables are clearly understood by the delivery team and that appropriate handovers occur throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery practices.
- Report on key project KPIs, including budget and hours burn, milestone progress, scope, risks and resourcing.
- Ensure projects are appropriately closed out, including confirmation of deliverables, client acceptance, outstanding actions and lessons learned.
Knowledge & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of project management, Agile methodologies and software delivery.
- Good understanding of software development, technical environments and delivery processes.
Experience
- 4+ years' experience in project management, technology delivery or digital services.
- Proven experience delivering technology projects from start to finish.
- Experience working with technical teams, clients and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing scope, timelines, budgets, resources and project risks.
- Proven ability to resolve project issues and keep delivery on track.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong client and stakeholder management.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to translate technical challenges into practical business outcomes.
- Hands-on, accountable and comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
- Experience working in Agile/software development environments.
