We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex Data Center projects across Australia. This role is responsible for managing project execution, contracts, stakeholders, vendors, budgets, and project teams to ensure successful delivery from project kickoff through commissioning and handover.

This is not a purely technical project management role. Success in this position requires strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen, technical understanding and leadership skills .

Primary Objective

Project Manager will be responsible for:

- Managing the delivery of large projects within the Orise Australia portfolio, directly leading Project Management.
- Utilise Orise project management framework, including:
- Project planning standards and tool(s)
- Project management methodology
- Project reporting methodology
- Project review process
- Monthly financial review and reporting of assigned projects with / to National Operations Manager
- Maintaining positive customer relations and ensuring satisfaction in the delivery of our services
- Training, development and performance management of all staff within your project team

Key Accountabilities

Management

- Lead by example and provide guidance and coaching of resources for a positive delivery of projects and promoting a positive culture within Orise
- Advise and assist the Leadership team with key company management activities as required.
- Implement and lead a continuous improvement program

Project Delivery

- Take full responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of projects.
- Develop and manage the project delivery plan, manage project financials, identify risks and roll out remediation plan for the projects under execution
- Effectively communicate, the risks, change management and project strategies for projects




- Develop and maintain project budgets to ensure project scope is met within allocated financial metrics and variation management
- Be the key escalation point for customers and drive all issues resolution to a satisfactory conclusion
- Key focus on variation management of projects to ensure profitability of all projects and services
- Conduct periodic Project reviews to assess health of the projects in execution
- Provide insight on forecast for projects in execution, assisting overall operations to understand project cost of sale, quoted vs actual hours and progressive profitability
- Responsible for project invoicing, progress claims and managing cash flow position
- Oversee the performance of FAT, SAT and Commissioning activities on site
- Obtain NPS feedback from customer post completion of projects

Technical Assistance

- Participate in bid qualification, technical solution preparation, project planning and execution, pre-bid meetings
- Be the Design QA for projects assigned. Review designs provided by Design group before project related submissions for approval
- Be a management escalation point for our key customers if urgent matters arise.

Sales & Marketing

- Pre sales - Assist with the preparation of tenders and quotation responses to ensure technical and Project scope is defined and can be delivered by the company
- Post sales - Support sales as required to identify and evaluate new opportunities for value added solutions / services within existing customers
- Communicate identified opportunities to sales managers to manage

Work Health and Safety





- Always promote zero harm and adhere to safety policies and procedures, including those of our customers when performing site works or our warehouse
- Adherence to Orise and Client OH&S; Policies and Procedures

Internal

- Build working relationships with Service Delivery site staff through system assessments, implementation of improvement actions and ongoing support
- Engage with fellow engineering colleagues to further develop technical skillset

External

- Build working relationships with our client base to enable successful completion of projects within predetermined constraints.
- Be an executive member representing Orise to our customers
- Assist our client base by understanding their business needs and drivers

Essential

- 10 years or more experience with a mix of project management and design engg
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation) or a related discipline or related trade background
- Manage multiple large automation projects spanning process control, data centres, smart buildings
- Must have the right to work in Australia
- Possess understanding of monitoring and control in process industry, Building management systems, Energy management systems.
- Self-starter, committed to providing outstanding customer service
- Proactive in maintaining safe working practices
- Good financial acumen, Project management background and resource management skills
- Ability to manage competing tasks and priorities
- Sound verbal and written communication
- Systematic approach to problem solving
- Ability to motivate and provide direction to team to achieve desired outcomes

Desirable

- MBA in Business and/or program management
- Tertiary qualification in engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation) or a related discipline or related trade background
