About the Role The Project Manager leads the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of multiple active civil projects at MGC Civil. They are accountable for delivery performance against program and budget baselines, and ensure site activities are aligned to client expectations, specifications, and internal governance. The Project Manager directly manages site teams and coordinates delivery across engineering, commercial, and operational support roles. They serve as the primary interface between construction teams, internal support functions, subcontractors, and the client.

Responsibilities

- Manage daily execution across 3–6 concurrent projects, each with active crews and subcontractors
- Deliver works in line with contract, budget, and schedule
- Escalate and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement
- Coordinate field teams (Supervisors, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors) to meet program requirements
- Monitor safety, quality,



and compliance activities, escalating issues as required
- Track delivery progress and commercial exposure; maintain accurate site reporting
- Interface with clients and authorities; manage communications and attend progress meetings
- Drive subcontractor accountability through program reviews and scope alignment
- Forecast material needs and coordinate with internal procurement and plant logistics
- Lead project-level reporting, forecasting, and performance updates
- Use MGC field systems and reporting tools to maintain consistency and transparency
- Participate in delivery reviews and internal handovers
- Collaborate with Construction Manager and internal support leads (HSEQ, Commercial, Shared Services)
- Provide constructability input to tender development, delivery methodologies, and mobilisation planning
- Validate assumptions around resource staging and site constraints

About You

- 5+ years’ experience in civil construction project delivery
- Robust commercial and subcontractor management capability
- Proficient in field delivery planning, forecasting, and progress tracking
- Well-developed communication and team leadership skills
- Sound understanding of HSEQ and local council compliance
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to drive accountability on site
- White Card & Australian Drivers Licence
