About the opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Project Officer to lead and support projects that deliver real business improvements and operational excellence. In this varied role, you will partner with stakeholders, manage project activities, identify opportunities for process enhancement, and ensure successful delivery of project outcomes. What you'll be doing The Project Officer is responsible for:

- managing a wide range of projects, in collaboration with management, stakeholders and peers
- the effective and efficient delivery of defined project outcomes within agreed timeframes, budgets, quality and resources
- providing research and analysis to inform project development and implementation and senior management, as needed.

1. Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated extensive work experience and capability in providing project support at a senior level.
2. Demonstrated experience in balancing complex and multiple issues whilst maintaining quality around core project work.
3. Proven ability to manage project scope, monitor project progress, identify and manage project risk and provide appropriate advice to the Executive.
4. Demonstrated strong strategic, organisational and planning skills with the capacity to successfully meet deadlines.
5. Proven proficiency in using PC based software including an advanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (word processing, PowerPoint, spread sheets and graphics) and working knowledge on project management software (Microsoft Project) and project management methodologies.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written expression, and the ability to interact with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
