About the Role
Are you an empathetic, resilient, and experienced support professional passionate about mental health recovery? We are seeking dedicated Psychosocial Support Workers to deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support to NDIS participants living with complex mental health conditions and behaviours of concern.
In this role, you will do more than assist with daily tasks—you will empower individuals to build emotional regulation, re-engage in their communities, and achieve stability in their daily lives. You will work in close alignment with clinical teams, strictly implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) to safeguard dignity and promote recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, recovery-oriented psychosocial support tailored to each participant's individual goals.
- Implement structured Positive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), recognizing early escalation signs and applying evidence-based de-escalation strategies.
- Maintain strict adherence to NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards regarding Restrictive Practices.
- Assist with routine daily living skills, social inclusion, and capacity-building activities.
- Maintain high-quality, objective documentation including ABC data collection and shift reports.

Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: Certificate III / IV in Mental Health, Mental Health Peer Work, Disability, or Community Services (or relevant demonstrated experience).
- Experience: Minimum 12 months supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities and active Behaviour Support Plans.
- Compliance:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (WA) (or application in progress).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification (HLTAID011).
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Quality, Safety and You).
- Valid WA C-Class Driver’s Licence, reliable roadworthy vehicle, and comprehensive insurance.
- Attributes: Exceptional emotional regulation, non-defensive communication, and strong personal boundaries.
