Are you an experienced Payroll Officer looking for a role that offers flexibility, variety and the opportunity to work as part of a close-knit finance team?

We’re currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join an established organisation on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of payroll while also getting involved in reporting, compliance and broader finance projects.

The position is based in the eastern suburbs of Perth, with occasional travel to the organisation’s CBD office.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Managing the payroll process from start to finish for around 150 employees
- Processing new employees, terminations and payroll changes
- Updating employee records and payroll information
- Calculating and processing manual and adjustment payments
- Preparing regular payroll and financial reports
- Assisting with month-end payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Supporting payroll tax and superannuation reporting and lodgements
- Interpreting and applying relevant awards, agreements and legislation
- Keeping up to date with changes to payroll legislation and ensuring these are reflected in processes




- Assisting with payroll-related projects and other ad-hoc finance requirements

You’ll ideally bring:

- 2-3 years experience in a payroll-focused position
- Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
- Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management and the ability to work across competing priorities
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business
- Experience with Pronto will be highly regarded, but is not essential
