We are seeking an experienced Project Director to take overall leadership of a major masterplanned community and land development project in Southeast Queensland.

This is a senior, hands-on role reporting directly to the senior project lead, with responsibility for overseeing three active work fronts across design and construction.

You’ll provide the leadership, coordination and escalation point across the broader project, working closely with Project Managers who manage day-to-day delivery.

What You'll Do:

- Lead overall project performance across design and construction.
- Provide technical oversight and review where required.
- Drive program, quality, compliance and contractual outcomes.
- Oversee cost forecasting, cash flow, claims, variations and EOTs.
- Manage project commercials and identify opportunity variations.
- Ensure infrastructure approvals and On / Off Maintenance processes are progressing effectively.
- Lead client engagement and obtain regular performance feedback.
- Manage project resourcing and ensure the team is operating efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Utility Companies, Local Government and TMR.
- Proactively manage risks, issues and escalations.
- Maintain oversight of the overall internal and external project program.

What You'll Bring:





- 15+ years' civil engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
- RPEQ registration.
- Solid experience delivering masterplanned communities / greenfield developments.
- Experience working with major land developers or development clients.
- Strong understanding of PDA processes and approval pathways.
- Knowledge of local utility provider requirements would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial and financial management capability.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability.
- The technical credibility and confidence to get into the detail when required.

The Opportunity:
This isn't a traditional Project Director role sitting above the detail. You'll have genuine ownership across design, approvals, construction, commercial performance and stakeholder management, while leading an experienced team across multiple active work fronts.
