Gympie Regional Council has an exciting, fixed term opportunity for a current GRC employee for a period of 3 months. GRC is seeking an Officer Workshop Operations to provide effective and qualified administrative support to the Workshop team. This role will play an important part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Workshop through accurate record keeping effective customer service and the timely processing of operational and financial information.
Working closely with the Workshop Supervisor and team, you will be responsible for coordinating a range of administrative activities and ensuring information is accurately recorded and readily accessible.

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide efficient and professional administrative support to the Workshop Supervisor and Workshop team.
- Process purchase orders, invoices and goods receipts using Council's financial systems.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and electronic records in accordance with Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings and administrative schedules as required.
- Respond to internal and external customer enquiries in a professional, helpful and timely manner.
- Liaise with Council staff, suppliers, contractors and service providers in relation to Workshop activities.
- Assist with the timely flow of operational and financial information to support effective Workshop operations.
- Contribute to a positive, cooperative and professional team environment.
