Psychology Services across Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service provide evidence-based, person-centred care across hospital and community settings. The service leads professional governance, workforce development, quality improvement, research, and education for the Psychology profession, supporting high standards of clinical practice and service delivery. Psychologists work within multidisciplinary teams across a range of specialties and care settings, delivering inpatient and outpatient services while contributing to clinical supervision, career development, and student training.

About your opportunity:
In this role you will.....
Lead comprehensive evaluation of service delivery and development of Psychology services across CHHHS, including the development, implementation and sustainability of Psychology services' professional standards, service improvement, quality improvement and risk management.
Utilise higher level interpersonal and negotiation skills to advocate for securing resources (human and financial), convey strategic initiatives, and provide authoritative counsel.
Apply detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures and directives,
and their application within the field of Psychology.
Responsible for providing strategic counsel to the CHHHS Executive regarding workforce and service planning, models of care and service delivery, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
