As we continue to grow and transform our business, we’re looking for an organised and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our team in our new Adelaide CBD offices.
The opportunity
Reporting to the National Procurement Manager, you’ll help keep products and materials moving across our national operations.
You’ll coordinate purchase orders, monitor stock requirements and work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses and manufacturing teams. It’s a diverse, hands-on role where accuracy, communication and follow-through really matter.
If you enjoy working with data, solving problems and keeping things organised, this is an excellent opportunity to build your procurement and supply chain experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Placing stock and customer-specific orders with international and key domestic suppliers
- Monitoring orders, delivery dates and stock levels
- Keeping stakeholders informed of order progress, delays and changes
- Reviewing demand and proactively adjusting orders where required
- Working with suppliers, freight forwarders and warehouses to resolve discrepancies
- Coordinating import arrangements and identifying cost-effective freight solutions
- Supporting manufacturing and production-planning requirements
- Maintaining accurate supplier, purchasing and order records
- Responding promptly to enquiries and maintaining clear documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes, systems and tools
- Contributing to procurement and broader business improvement projects
What you’ll bring
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory or a similar administrative role
- A relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain management or business
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to following processes
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear, professional communication and a customer-focused approach
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership
- Experience using Pronto will be highly regarded
