Our client is looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join a well-established organisation in Henderson on an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension and permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
Hours: Monday to Friday 38 hours per week
Start date: ASAP
Location: Henderson
Duration: Ongoing - with potential to become permanent for the right person
Pay Rate: Starting from $55.00 p/h + Super depending on experience
Please note: Applicants must already hold a current Baseline or NV1 security clearance to be considered for this position. Candidates who do not currently hold one of these clearances will not be considered for this opportunity.
The Role This position is open to candidates across a range of experience levels, with a strong preference for people who have a procurement or strategic sourcing background.
Working within the procurement function, you will work closely with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders to support commercial outcomes and develop strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Working with strategic suppliers and managers to develop long-term contracts
- Developing and implementing targeted supplier KPIs
- Negotiating with suppliers to achieve improved commercial outcomes
- Identifying opportunities to create value through sourcing and supplier negotiations
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers throughout the procurement process
Required Experience
- Procurement and/or strategic sourcing
- Supplier relationship management
- Supplier negotiations
- Contract development or management
- Developing and managing supplier KPIs
- Working with internal stakeholders to achieve commercial outcomes
- Security Clearance - Essential
