Trayza Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated full time Butcher for a well-established meat and poultry business located in Ascot Vale, VIC.
Key responsibilities
- Break down all types of carcasses
- Make sausages and other meat products
- Prepare and present meat to a high-quality gourmet retail standard
- Cut, grind and prepare meats for sale
- Operate meat-cutting machinery
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment and ensure displays and signage are accurate and attractive
- Weigh, package, price and display products
- Season, smoke or marinate meat
- Keep records, budgets and inventory
- Perform quality inspections on meats and other products
About you
- Certificate III in Meat Processing or relevant qualification
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong carcass breakdown and knife skills
- Food safety knowledge
- Safety standards
- Experience using slicers and meat-processing equipment
