As a member of our Site Technical team, the Quality Assurance Technician (Casual) plays an essential role in ensuring that all our products meet food safety standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

This position will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining high food safety and quality standards in a busy production environment.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Assist in maintaining and managing the site’s HACCP Food Safety Program, ensuring documentation and processes are kept up to date.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of products during and after production to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Work closely with production staff to address and resolve any quality or food safety issues promptly, ensuring production runs smoothly.
- Monitor and report on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance throughout the site.




- Support the introduction of new products and packaging by conducting quality testing and providing feedback to relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date records of all quality control activities, including product checks, temperature records, and corrective actions.
- Assist in preparing for and participating in internal and external food safety audits.
- Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Assist with the calibration and upkeep of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Manager and site team to promote a strong food safety and quality culture.

About You To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:

- Qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline, or relevant industry experience.
- 3–4 years’ experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to food safety and quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
