The role

Join an established Australian manufacturer supplying plastic packaging to the food and dairy sector. The business has broadened its customer base and continues to modernise its Campbellfield plant, with new high-speed production lines and further equipment upgrades planned. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll manage the site's quality systems, food safety program and manufacturing quality. There are no direct reports, and you'll work closely with experienced Production and Maintenance managers and shift teams.

The role is predominantly day-based, with established shift handovers and occasional afternoon and night-shift check-ins.

A key project is FSSC 22000 certification. The gap assessment is complete and a project tracker is in place. You'll work with management to implement the remaining actions and prepare the site for certification.

Your broader responsibilities cover

- Food safety and systems: HACCP, GMP,



internal audits and documentation
- Manufacturing quality: investigations, corrective actions, testing and calibration
- Customer and supplier quality: complaints, specifications and compliance
- Manufacturing support: product trials, training and continuous improvement

About you

You may already be a Quality Manager, or a solid Quality Systems Coordinator, Quality Coordinator or QA Supervisor ready to step up. You'll bring practical manufacturing quality experience, sound knowledge of HACCP and quality systems, and confidence working with production teams. Exposure to FSSC 22000, BRC or another GFSI-recognised system would be valuable.

Plastics experience isn't essential — packaging or food manufacturing experience transfers well. The management team takes time to explain the processes and support your learning, and detailed handover documentation is being prepared.
