About the Role
12 month fixed term contract with potential to go permanent.
An opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and debt collection, along with experience using Xero
You will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, mainly accounts receivable, with a strong focus on effective debt recovery. You will ensure that invoicing, supplier payments, and collections are handled with precision and professionalism, helping to maintain solid cash flow and positive client relationships.
An external Accountant handles all other accounts activities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Debt Collection

- Collate and issue accurate customer invoices monthly
- Monitor aged receivables, follow up overdue accounts, and negotiate payment arrangements
- Liaise with clients to resolve account issues, escalating where necessary

Accounts Payable & Finance Support





- Assist with accounts payable, monthly reporting, and reconciliations as needed
- Maintain accurate financial records in Xero and support the Director with reporting

Contracts Administration

- Administer the CRM and prepare fee proposals for project support

Essential Skills & Experience

- Solid experience in AR/AP and debt collection roles
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently

Desirable

- Experience in a consulting or professional services environment
- Qualifications in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping (Cert IV or higher)
- Familiarity with Australian accounting and tax requirements
